Hi,

Well, i know FSAA don't work, and i must say that it is a shame, but i hope this will be adress with patch.

But i wish to talk about graphics quality. Before i have the game, i saw screens who seemed to be good. And i expected a game at last at the SH3 level ..

But :

I must have a problem cause i really have not seen a game so awful .. I mean, the texture seems to be at low res for exemple. If i force Anisotropic in driver, things are better, but not so much ..

It is like it has some kind of fog or something, difficult to explain .. Some blurr thing, maybe.

I wish here some ATI users give opinions about quality of the graphics ( but not only them), cause, again, maybe i have a problem ( i don't think so cause many other game on my rig are all ok)

I'm very disapointed about this SH4 .. Don't know what to think about.

To happy users of SH4 : Please, don't shoot ;) , i just give my opinion, and search for better ..

I feel that the textures are larger and don't have the same "realisim" as SH3. This could be because of the lack of AA though.

My very first impression of my boat when I looked at it for the first time was that the texture didn't look good.

I'm probably just spoiled from GWX.

I had the same initial impression when I fired it up this evening. As a GWX vet, I was horrified by what I saw...It looked like someone had smeared a thin coat of vaseline on the screen like some 1970's XXX flick. Then I starting playing with the graphics options and here's what I did-

- Set the graphic option to high.
- Set the resolution as high as it would go.
- Disabled Post Process Filters.
- Clicked apply and shut SH4 down.
- Restarted the computer (don't know if I needed to, but I did.)

Looks great now.

My card is a GS 7900.

At the top of the graphics option screen there is a pull down box where you can set the graphics across the board to High, Medium or Low quality.

Well, i already put all the settings to high ...

What do you call "Post- Process" ?? I have french version and no such a thing ..

I got : "environemental" and "photographic filter" ; Maybe you mean one of these ?

Thanks.

Edit : I have the patch 1.1 applied.

If you have a flat screen LCD monitor, I'd highly recommend going into your My Documents/SH4/data/Cfg folder and opening main.cfg. Under [video] change Synchronized=No to Synchronized=Yes and Save.

I also turned off Full Screen glare in-game and Post-Processing Filter is a judgement call but I turned that off after awhile too.
