Oh, some important things here too :

Note 1: The save games and replays that were made with the original version of Silent Hunter 4 will be incompatible with the new patch version.

Note 2: In Base autosaving are compatible between original version and Patch

Note 3: Multiplayer (LAN or Online) connection between the original version of Silent Hunter 4 and the new patch version is not possible.

So they didn't fix the non-working TDC bits and the looping sounds?

I knew publishers were cynical, but this is just not cool. I mean, Ubi Soft KNEW this game was broken, but released it anyway. There's no way you wouldn't notice these bugs even if you only playtest the game ONCE. Money talks, I guess.

Still, after the next patch we might have a working game here...

Is the depth now shown in feet instead of meters?

I sure hope not even if I don't have the game yet. Fine, I get it:feet is more realistic, but I use the meter system. Best would be if you could choose it in options or something like that....

It's your lucky day - there is an option to select Imperial vs Metric.

I've been poking around a bit and it appears they have remembered to make all displays and settings use feet/metres as appropriate. This is Ubi though so I still have my doubts that they'll have found everything ;)

I'm very interested in "Improvements to subsystem, crew and torpedo management screens."

New screens? Functionality? Sub cut away? Visual reprosentation of flooding?

Stupid filefront will not let me download.

When i click the file, it keeps sending me to the Terms of Service page all the time.

I despite these big file pages since they require registration, and you have to pay to get a decent download speed.

None of the above. We now have "bulkhead" damage objects that seem to represent hull leaks, and can be fixed. Your crew also tells you when the hull is damaged.

I can't see any improvements at all in the torpedo and crew screens. You still have to drag EVERY man you want to move by hand, and the torps still can't be exchanged or moved around, even in port!
