I hope some of you guys can help me!!! I started my carrer in Pearl in '41 and was ordered to patrol the Honshu Islands, I stayed there for 2 or 3 days and my mission log still says I did not complete this task.
Eventually I went back to Pearl and was awarded the Navy Cross (I sank 7 ships with 28000 tons) but my patrol log says I did not complete any war patrols. The black board still tracks my 28000 tons though.
Any ideas?

One of the many known bugs. Im getting it, others are getting it.

Bug with captains log, bug with merchent ship missions.

Thank you very much! It's bad that they're bugs but it means that I didn't do anything wrong.;)

Just to make sure: You guys *did* move right unto the yellow target area "waypoint" marked on your map? I noticed I had to move fairly close unto it for the logbook to register reaching the patrol area. After that, you are free to roam (no annoying 24h requirement).

I had this as well. I believe that specific mission task is possibly glitched (it was a patrol zone just northeast of the Tokyo Bay area, right? I had a patrol there which did not register, and a patrol south of Tokyo which went through fine).

This needs to be reported, though I hope the next patch fixes it anyway.

@heartc: I was really close to the symbol so that can't be the reason (at least not in my case).

@CCIP: No I was south-east of Tokyo but I do believe that it is a glitch as well.

I had the exact same problem, but I'm unsure if it's a bug. After a few days, I just set my sub to patrol all around the area in a loop and set the TC to 4096x. After several more days the mission finally completed. If it's not a bug, then perhaps the mission objectives could be made a little more clear.

i cant get the crew to repair anything thats a major bug right there you fill the repair compartment up full and nothing happens at all its totally confusing that what i was trying to have answered by the dev's but they wouldnt answer my question i wonder why
