Everyone keep on eye on the SH4 modding forum- mods are already being released. SH3 and SH4 have the same file types, so we will see experienced SH3 modders releasing SH4 mods sooner than you think. :rock:

Let me be the first (I think) to say how much the subsim community appreciates ALL the modder's efforts. Apparently there is a lot of work for you guys to do! Thanks in advance for all your hard work! :yep:

The Modders are superb. One thing I learned from Silent Hunter 3 though was to wait a few months before adding mods. We know there will be at least one early patch for SH4 (probably several) and I for one don't want to get into that awful loop of adding mods and then uninstalling them in order to add the latest patch.

With SH3, after about three months all the patches Ubisoft were going to offer were complete and it was then safe to start modding. That was my experience at least, but I'm no expert where mods are concerned. I'm just full of admiration for those talented enough to produce them.
