Loaded up my save game, and the darn boat slammed into the bottom and was destroyed. This is ridiculous now. This has only happened since I downloaded Sh3 Weather. I think I'm gonna have to uninstall. OMG so crap.

I read your original posts on this issue but I have never had this happen
to me I am afraid I have no advice, I am sure your properly installed
and patched and all seemed far more familiar with the issue than I

I make 2 save files each patrol incase this happens, it really sucks. I don't know why it happens, I have changed nothing mod wise, and you know... grrr!!! Penny SMASH!!! :hulk:

I know his won't help you much, but I've been using SH3 Weather for quite some time both with NYGM and GWX and never had any save problem (although I still make a "Save" and a "Save and Exit" saves every time just in case...)

You were smart enough to do the double saves
you did it im sure to reduce your stress.

seems you remembered to do all but the last bit
im with steed it happens I whined and ranted on
a thread one day and made complete ninny of
myself when the next day all the same stuff happened
again I had just stopped allowing it to upset me.

Oh I dunno... seriously this game can count itself lucky on more thna one occasion I have nearly lost my temper with it a few times, because of this stupid dive of death crap I had to start one patrol from scratch again, and did worse than the one that got ruined. Only saving grace this time is that I have not actually sunk anything yet.

OMG I am beginning to fear SH3 every time I load up where I left off.

As much as I enjoyed using SH3 Weather....I had some similar problems last year with the "Dive of Death" crash on reloading a "save". As I was trying to run a career in Wolves at War, all the hassles of trying to keep my Career in nice, understandable order, forced me to uninstall SH3 Weather. Since then....not a single "Death Dive"!!!!

(It's a real shame, 'cos SH3 Weather IS a great program!)

As BBW said, the program has been updated, and Sweetis is aware of the problem and the new install is supposed to have fixed it. If you are still having problems with the latest (I think 1.5) post in that thread, and he will help you

Well thats 2 for 2 now.

I had another dive of death, so loaded my emergency save and that was a dive of death too. Its crackers.

Sorry hun, but if you read your original post you'll see that the "crash dive of death" has nothing to do with SHweather. I had the same thing happen to me and your first post on the subject helped me save my save game(if you know what I mean!).

You have to edit three files in the SHIII programme and you'll be able to carry on. It's yet another SHIII glitch.

I changed the three files, setting the windspeed under [Mission] in each one to 1.

I am such a ploker, reason I couldn't change it before, was because Iw as looking in the wrong flipping folder entirely, I changed something else!:doh: oh boy...

Dunno about that one. I'm sure I read in a thread that was one of the reasons that SHweather was made, but in all honesty I could be wrong.

Though, my cousin told me off for smoking she did. It was quite funny, I got reamed out by a stubborn 11 year old. She really threw the book at me. Never had such a tongue lashing in a while! She basically told me how horrible I was and stupid, and then ended her lecture with, "I'm never gonna smoke" and I was like thinking to myself, "we shall see!" Because at 11, I was just like her, funny how you can change your mind on things!:rotfl:

I do know what you mean about saving tho Penelope. I actually dread the re-load, makes matters worse when I read about people having glitch free patrols.I've been playing since Nov last year and I've not made it past '41. Not because I've been killed, just bugs and glitches:damn:

Darn Ubisoft and their half finished games, if this game wasn't so addictive I'd have binned it ages ago.

Not me I'm still playing SHIII (Thank f#ck). After all the fun with this game and it's bugs I thought I'd wait a bit before I buy. After reading that thread I'm not sure I ever will.

fortunately SHIII is immersive enough and gives me what I want from this kind of sim, mainly due to the hard work of the modders - not Ubisoft! (when it saves properly).

The Pacific doesn't really ring my bell (probably because I'm a brit). Probably give it a few months/ years when it has a few patches/or it's in the bargin bin.

Read the thread - be warned tho, it's pretty scary

The only diff 'twixt illegal drugs and legal ones is that Phizer has a lobby in Washington and yo' man B-dup don't got no cred up there.

And when it comes to addictions HELLO! We're all gamers here! Tell me any one of you that there hasn't been at least one night where you were up way too late playing this crap.:yep:

Oh and about the 60s... I must say that the hippies ruined LSD. That stuff was originally used to treat alcoholism! It worked better than AA! It let therapists get past the neurotic non-sense and forced people to realise why they were being jerks. Then some jackhole decided to make LSD into a religion and bingo the puritans hopped all over that sucker and rode it into law.

But not worries. Just see your GP and get some perkidan. Its TOTALLY different.;)
