Cameron under fire for 90-mile flight

David Cameron was accused of hypocrisy today after it emerged he used a plane to make a 90-mile journey. The Tory leader - who last week unveiled proposals to tax unnecessary flights - took advantage of a private jet to travel from Oxford to a meeting near Hereford.

Good question Penelope. :yep:

How big is Tony Blair's ego? I can say this for sure Gordon Browns plans to to hit us in the wallet is on hold as he wants to come across as the nice guy. As for Blair, he has come in for stick and still he will not budged.

I can say this for sure Gordon Browns plans to to hit us in the wallet is on hold as he wants to come across as the nice guy.

I wouldn't bet on it Steed, rumour has it that he plans to double road tax for big cars from £210 to £400. I think he will also go for petrol again as well. Tax allowances will not rise as fast as salaries either thus bringing more people into the higher tax band and more people paying tax at lower end of the scale.

I think that Green Taxes are the ones to watch out for.

After they win the general election, it's an old trick. But well maybe.

Smash and Grab Gordon Brown robs the bank of your money.

Brown's £400m smash and grab on dormant bank accounts

More than £400 million in so-called dormant bank accounts is to be raided by the Government to fund charities, youth clubs, sports and community centres. Money in the accounts, which has been left untouched for at least 15 years, is to be grabbed by an independent body set up by the Treasury.

Its interesting that you would bring up Al Gore, because last week he was on the front page of the conservative party website-http://www.conservatives.com/tile.do?def=news.story.page&obj_id=135599

Just goes to show that US and UK politics don't line up all that precisely with each other, with Blair being Bush's best buddy and Al Gore singing the praises of David Cameron.

Another case of do as I say, not as I do (http://www.thisislondon.co.uk/showbiz/article-23389069-details/Eco-warrior+Trudie+prefers+helicopter+to+an+80-mile+train+ride/article.do).

I suppose it's OK if you cross your fingers (http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Minority.PressReleases&ContentRecord_id=7616011f-802a-23ad-435e-887baa7069ca) when you don't really mean it anyway.

Another inconvenient truth.
