help - first convoy and no sinkings... :(

hi there! using sh3 with some minor mods (hollywood damage, traffic mods etc) now ive met first convoy in my ninth patrol aug '40. doing tdc manually. Heavy fog (sight max 350 metres) + heavy rain. Really difficult to shoot but escorts do not really find me either. iam in the middle of the convoy, and first sank some small targets. Then.... i hit a t2 tanker, it continued to swim for a pretty long while and finally sunk. = i did not get credit. I said oh well next time make one sink faster. t3 tanker. torp hit it continues to swim for a few minutes then sinks.... = no renown either, this is frustrating. I think the engine does not record my hit, but things it sunk because of bad weather... i would really like to get the tonnage added. Any hints for me? PS after i did not get tonnage for both ships i tried again (made a save game after the first t2 was not credited) and again the t3 did not give credit. Unfortunately i cannot shot 2 torps at the same time - just have one stern and one bow torp left.

its because you saved after you hit em, cant do that

Also, do not upgrade anything prior to your first patrol in a career :arrgh!:

well first hit did not count even before saving, but i retried a few times now and finally it counted the t3 now i go back to the place where is sunk the t2 and ill try to ram it underwater :) lets see if i can get the credit ;) (made some markers on the map so iam sure ill find it :)

so it worked out somehow :) Thanks for the tips though. And the first t2 was a mistake it was not completely sunk just heavily hit burning and almost sinking :)
