Unfortunately, this is not a "Mod" but a "favorable bug" !!!

During an aircraft attack, I got my two flak gunners killed, so the program restored automatically my observer crew in the tower, but do not removed the flak position in the crew management screen. Position had the two poor dead guys !

So I had the curiosity to double-click the flak position in this screen and got immediately two valid sailors instead the two dead men. Moreover it work perfectly. Observer observe and flak gunner aim & shoot !!!

Would love, sometimes, to be able to do that.

Funny !!!

Yes, unfortunately, it is the cost to pay !!!

What is interesting, it let us know that the restriction of not having observer in the same time with flak gunners, is not because of some code restriction, it is just a stange design decision of the dev team. I though before it was the reason they do not change that in any patches, despite the numerous requests.

I have also discover recently that you cannot fire the deck gun when it is raining, even with zero wind !!! This, of course, if you do not modify the editable parameters for this purpose, added in the last patch. But if you modify, then the deck crew will never ware the storm clothes, which also bad to my view.

So...

Yes, I´ve had that. All flak gunners killed simultaneously and the game thinks ok, no crew on deck, better get a watch crew up there pronto. Then you can replace the dead gunners and have a lot of crew killed in the next hit:damn:
I always have my WO on deck when manning flak and/or deck gun, at the risk of loosing him. But he helps in spotting planes:up:
