For some reason when I started my game today my taskbar decided to stay put. It is on top of everything and I cant make it go away. Ive tried to alt tab but that no longer seems to do anything. I can click my start button in game just as easily as if I was at my desktop! Any ideas?

Well apparently I cant load any missions either because they all crash the game. I can get to the in game menu but it always crashes during the loading of a game.

In options did you change the "full screen" to NO ?
You can check in your main cfg - C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\data\Cfg
[VIDEO]
Resolution=1024 x 800
DynamicShadows=No
FullScreen=Yes
Synchronized=No
ParticleDensity=100
TextureResolutionHigh=Yes
EDIT
Also check the one in the SH3 folder in my documents
You may have a corrupt main.cfg if you are CTD as well now
You can try renaming the SH3 folder to something else then run the game so it creates a new one
If ok move your careers into the new folder

Well the full screen has returned as for some reason the main.cfg file in my documents\shIII somehow reverted to fullscreen=no. Not sure what tthats about. Still CTD when loading a game. What files do I need to backup to keep my saves?

Down and Out took care of my problem. Main.cfg in my documents had become corrupt crashing my game and reverting back to fullscren=no. Also had to delete my last save game as that had become corrupt too. All seems well at the moment though. Down and out you da man!

Actually yes. I have a bad fan in my case that make a lot of noise sometimes. Last night was one of those times so I got out of bed and exited the game. Right as the game was about to finish closing I switched off the power supply and went back to bed. Guess I should wait for it to shut down next time. :yep:
