DF Antennas

Question about the DF ant's on the SH3 subs?
I am in V11B U-53 Time 10-39? I installed the GWX mod Lower the DF Ant's and the ant' is Down in its holder. Question when I was up ?
Does it serve a Purpose in the Sim? does the radioman gather info on Directions to a radio station's? And can it be raised by the key board?
I guess what I am asking does it do something in the SH3 Sim.:D

AFAIK it's just eye candy. It serves no useful function in the game, and it is either up or stowed, you cannot change this in game.

Whether its up or down doesn't make any difference, that part is just cosmetic. The use of the Radio Direction Finder is automatic and represented abstractly by some of those contact icons that appear periodically on your F5 Nav Map. This behavior is not new to GWX 1.02, only the physical representation of the antenna on the bridge was new.
