Ctrl + F11
Stored in C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\GWXv103 (or SH3 if that's the version your playing)
I play the Stock version of SH3.

If your going to post them here on SS, don't forget to convert them to the much lower sized format 'jpeg'. They will load quicker that way.

Thank You, much! Good info.:)
Why don't people use Flickr? :damn:
Flickr has always been faster, ad free, no bandwidth limit, and you can even make
catalogue, tagging, slideshow, etc, much much more.
I don't understand why people use photobucket etc which seems so limited.
Jimbuna

I suppose it's purely a matter of personal choice :hmm:
I suppose it's purely a matter of personal choice :hmm:
Actually I suppose maybe people don't even know it or used it (despite the site is really famous and it's one of the web2.0 stuff). Perhaps different kind of life style (hobby) gives different kind of sources for information. Flickr's been graced by mostly photograph lovers. But it's not only for photos. It's sad because most advantages (organizing capability and horizontal networking among similar interests) gained by Flickr are for who views pictures.
Only one thing I'm less objective against photobucket etc in these days is finally I almost never see "bandwidth exceeded" banner. But they put big ad banners, slow, no album like view options, picture size seems to be limited...
Anyway if someone who reads this and just in case you haven't tried Flickr yet:

Hi all! This is my first post here. I started off playing Silent Service on a Commodore 64. I found Silent Hunter I many years later. And I just started playing SHIII a few weeks ago. I haven't upgraded to GWX yet, but I think I will after I go through a career at least until 1942 or so. I did install several small mods, though.
My question is, I cannot seem to find screenshots after I take them. I hit ctrl-F11 and the screen freezes up for a split second. After I exit the game, there are absolutely no new .bmp images in the SH folder or anywhere else on my computer. Any ideas?

They should be in the main SH3 folder, labelled "SH3Img@4-30-2008_20.46.30_422"
The numbers will be different, of course, but that's how it should look.

you can just press the "PrtScn" key on your keypad then open up any art program (microsoft office picture Manager is a good one its in office tools)
then just point to the middle of the page and right click and paste then you can edit it and save it as a Jpeg

I figured out why I couldn't take a screenshot. I am running Vista and have SH3 installed in program files. I had to manually configure my settings to allow the "user" of my computer to make changes to any files under program files. Now that I can take pics I am all set!
