Hello guys, kinda new to this forum as this I believe is my first post. However I have been here before in the past but I haven't posted.
In the documentary film on www.silenthunter4.com (http://www.silenthunter4.com), it shows the Gato fireing a yellow tipped torpedo at a Japanese warship. My question is this, when American torpedoes had yellow tips, did that mean they were training torpedoes? Reason I ask this is because I recall a post in here stating that they were, but watching the torpedo actually hit the ship and cause a detonation like a regular armed torpedo made me wonder if Ubi made a mistake in their torpedo design.
Thanks in advance for any answers or comments.
Regards,
Acmark
