Hi ! Small question, i have one stock SH3 installation and one GWX installation ready for playing. Now I setup MultiSH3 for different savegamefolders and started SH3Cmdr 2.7 (starting with special parameter) to play with GWX (including the randomized events file that comes with GWX). Now if I want to run the stock sh3 from Sh3cmdr (2nd shortcut): - how does it know not to used the randomized gwx events that came with gwx 1.02 ? - do i have to look out for something else? thanks!

Now why would you want to play stock??:D

Firstly, roll back the Cmdr before launching another career.
If you backed up the original files in the Cmdr before applying the GWX files you could put those back in, I think that should work.
But it might be better to have 2 SH3Cmdr installs, if you want to use, say the GWX Skinpack. You could of course make a backup of the Date folder before putting the Skinpack in and swap Date folder and Cfg´s depending on the game you want to start. Maybe someone have a better idea?:hmm:

To avoid a mixup between ShCmdr's and keep the random files intact I will copy the SH3 Cmdr folder and create another shortcut. Thanks for the obvious info! :)

Now why to play stock - Very easy:
- my success rate (fun factor is still higher)
- loading times in gwx are so long...
- it's quite laggy (3.2ghz, 3 gb ram, nvidia 7900gt) strange huh? maybe my raid-0 is causing it.
- murky wat

But i like the additions the improved interface and the better graphics so i will try "from time to time". But for now i continue to figure out how to shot manually with the normal SH3 (w/o weapon officer's help). If i start to hit constantly there i might try gwx again more frequently

I have half the computer and it runs relatively well on GWX ( you've got a monster there:yep:, some settings turned down. Even though the load times are long, I still find it well worth the wait.

But to each his own for sure:up:

There is a better way.

Hopefully JSCones can back this up or suggest something different. We have 4 installations of SH3 on our PC. 2 for me, 2 for my bro. Stock and GWX each.

Which means 4 commanders. lol

All you gotta do is install it once then copy the complete commander folder as many times as needed.

Then you go into the main commander folder and there will be a file called "SH3Cmdr" and Configuration Settings its a notepad like icon with a cog on it. Cant miss it. Go into that.

Then, under "[SETTINGS]"
Type in:
SH3location=(insert the location to the main SH3 game folder here.)

Then save, and exit. Bingo. No hassle no fuss, a commander each!

managed to screw up my gwx. sh3 cmdr 1 was still pointing to the wrong folder, and i did a roll back or smth..... anyways now some files are changed and i cannot get them back into the state as they have been when gwx1.02 was installed. *sigh*
