Trying to squeeze all I can out of SHIII before my transfer to the Pacfic(expect reports for SHIV) I decided to play a Med carear.

Heading twards Gibralter a "been there done that" feeling came over me. So I decided to raid Oran. Why Oran? Well it was because on the Nav. map it had quite a port facility so I fuigered it must of had something there.

Patrols 10km out peaked my intrest. They where a Armed Trwaler and a Hunt DD. I sank both of them to make the attack easer.

Once I got within visual distance my eyes nearly poped out of my head. In the port where a Dido Light Cruiser, 3 LSTs and 2 Trooptransports!

I marked the locations...
mark 1 is the 2 Trooptransports
mark 2 is the Dido Cruiser(note ship next to it it a Hunt DD)
mark 3 are the 3 LSTs,
the line on the map is a AS Net.

I sank the Cruiser, DD and LSTs in short order, I also sank a Small Tanker.

Out of torpedos I pulled out 10km to load my externals, raceing back in to take a Troopship.

Out of fish I set course for home. Date, September of 43.

Why do I never get such luck!

Nice one though, I can't stand the Med. but IF I ever find myself there I think I'll be heading to Oran :D

Well done. Inspired by the 'raiding neutral ports' thread i paid a little visit to vigo and the azores this eve. Bugger all in vigo except spanish merchies. Bagged 2 small merchants and a medium tanker in the azores. Of course after all that in my viib i'm now 4000km from home and have less than 25% diesel left. 2 knots all the way home i guess

down and out

You can always try refuelling
If you are running a mod go back to Vigo
There is a German resupply there at certain times in the war
I think your F1 has info on the dates
