Hi Mates,
There were no recorded attacks on U-Boots on March 9, 1940 thr 1943,
The most British ships sunk on March 9 were 3 by U-14 commanded by Wohlfarth for 3325 tons. U-28 commanded by Kuhnke sank only 1 ship but it was for 4979 tones.
10 American ships were sunk by U-Boots on March 9, 1943 - Eight of these were sunk by U-510 commanded by Neitzel
Cpt. Neitzel U-510 had the most sinkings by any u-Boot on this date.
p.s. Cpt. Bragg had the best reason for not knowing the answers...
