Went to Berkeley's office/branch of Union Bank to cash the reimbursement check. Since I am not their customer, that required two means of my ID. Now get this. They would not recognized the European Union ID card or the EU health insurance card as my secondary ID. :rotfl: They were also kind of suprised at my EU passport ("Is this actually your passport?":rotfl: ) which was eventually admitted as a primary ID. :rotfl:

It would be even more funny if it was not about my money.

Indeed "It is slippery when it is icy" as it says on one of the street stairs. :rotfl:

That should tell you something when financial institutions will not recognize EU identification. I'm sorry.

Yer, they should get their act together and recognise all copy protected forms of ID.
