Having visited Zimbabwe, I suggest that the rights of those people are to get out as fast as they can unless they can figure out a way to save the country - which they can't.
The whole country is a tragedy.

Still, a country they have built for hundreds of years would seem something to fight for.
Do you have any info on the SA jewish community numbering almost 100.000.
Are they moving out in numbers also?

The potential will always be there but the decay that has set in since Rhodesia turned into Zambia has wiped out so much. It's like starting from scratch.

There's always a trickle out but, actually, the communities in J'berg are very big and active. I would say the Jewish community in Capetown is weak and declining but that's nothing new.
You cannot compare SA to ZA. For all of SA's problems, and they do have them, SA is still day compared to ZA's utter darkness. That's not to say that there isn't a potential for a major decline in SA, depending on this or that political trend rocking the boat. However, at the moment, there's a definite air of stability in the country.

History starts kicking back, it seems. Emotions are closer to most people's hearts than reasonable thoughts about economy.

Were it only that small island of remaining whites were suffering in Zimbabwe. The misery its people are going through is an equal opportunity employer.
