How do you edit the title of a subject after you mistakenly mis-spell part of it? Oops!

JP Morgan was a real peace of work. When he owned the New Haven RR he slashed wages 50% then gave himself a $10,000,000 bonus at the end of the year. He would make or break you at a whim.

what about Donald Trump, or Vince McMahon?

According to this site: http://www.westegg.com/inflation/infl.cgi

He would be worth $19,683,067,379.12 today. Bill Gates is worth $82,000,000,000 or more than four times Rockefeller at his death.

Trump is #94 with $2.9 billion and McMahon has dropped off the Forbes list, he's worth $700 million

The study above is based on GDP or how much you could own of the entire production of the country. Bill Gates can't hold a candle to that.

The population of the US now is 300 million.

What was the population when J D bit the big one?

Its irrelevent. It is based on the percentage of GDP. He can buy 1/50th of the entire country GDP output of a full year! That is a lot of case. The fact he was able to amase this kind of wealth in a country with only a fraction of the people we have now is even 'more' amazing. Less people buying less product makes it that much harder!
