wait till u get the IXD2 a much better boat than the other IX boats in my opinion.

These boats weren't convoy hunters they were mainly for long patrols hunting down loan ships, they weren't built to attack convoys. The VII's were the convoy hunters. IX's are the pirates.:arrgh!:

That is very slick im tempeted to adopt it

but I love the redlead on the bottom of uber
and Im hoping that someday ill get the VIIc4 tower
done in the same paint as the upper hull on uber.

Are you asking me for a changelle on Multiplayer? will that be deckgun verses deckgun or see who survives a convoy attack?:cool: But i have to run away with tail between the legs dont play multiplayer i accidently sunk some uber german kapitans i joined up with was pretty noobish at the time and commanded my crew to man the deckgun next thing i know they're fireing at the other subs (this is a well known bug in MP) they weren't impressed neither was I. Put me off playing online. Plus i was banned from just about every german server! lol

But if you get SHIV I'll be playing online. (but wont be using the deckguns!)

You know you've played type 9 uboats too long when......



- You habitually look at the "LOCAL TIME" in the mouse tool tip, rather then the time displayed on acutal game clock.


- You know where the sea squares CA, ED, DB, ET, and GR are, without having to look at a map.


- The only port's you can recollect leaving out of for the last year, has been lorient, Bordeaux, or Penang.

- You've memorized the acutal historical uboat numbers for type 9 uboats to the point where you can identify varients purely by number. For example: you know what version of type 9 uboats U-64, U-67, U-184, and U-196 are at first glance without having to look them up.

- You fuss over using your stern tubes, and generaly micromanage your torpedo usage.

- Your career games usually only have about 4 or 5 patrols a year, and usually have close to 300 days at sea by the 3rd patrol.

- You've ever done something silly in a type9 like bring one into the med, the black sea and back out again into the atlantic - just to say youve done it.

- The first thing that habitually pops into your head at the sound of "Aircraft spotted" is usually the thought of, "is it too late to dive?"

- You've spent more time in the carribean and/or US eastern seaboard then anywhere else in the game world.

- You become obsessed with fuel expendature and its conservation.
