I have one of the old subs (one with only a 20mm flak gun on the deck). Last night I had to change my base port to one in France and travel through the english channel. Managed to sink a destroyer and a couple of ships whilst I was on my way until my torpedoes ran out. Whilst in transit I was attacked by an MTB. Thinking the better of valour I went to about 40m until MTB went away.
Would anyone have stayed on the surface to fight?

oh, and one more thing....STAY OUT OF THE CHANNEL!!!!:down::down:
Whatzamatah you?
An MTB only costs a few quid. It doesn't carry cognac and is manned by crazy people. No, thank you very much, I don't fight MTBs. BTW, what are you doing in the Channel? Not enough fuel to go the scenic route? :rotfl: :rotfl:

If they get too close to you before you destroy them they can cause a mess with your crew on the upper deck :yep:
What the hell you doing going through the English Channel from a French Atlantic base!!!!! :hmm:

I was operating near Harwich when the order to change base came over the radio. The weather at the time was really bad with low visibility. So I ran on the surface at night and then slow speed dived. I also hugged the french coast. I took out targets if they came near me. I was so near Calais I could see the harbour. Trouble is Old Goring forgot to give me air cover! Where are they when you need them!
