How to destroy coastal bunkers, land units

Can I destroy coastal bunkers or other land units by way of deck guns?

You can't destroy them or any other land based objects.

I'm sure you could in SH2/SH1 but i may be wrong ive tried a few times to blow the bugger's to bits in SH3 only to have the **** pounded outa me:dead:

You can not in SH3.

And anyway use your deck gun on ships.

I once saw a luftwaffer do a bombing run on a coastal bunker. It fell a bit short, and didn't seem to affect it, but it looked cool:

Would be cool if we could at least make the land targets appear damaged when we shoot at it. (Imagines the Statue of Liberty shot full of holes from the deck gun)
