USS Cavalla Conning Tower-Question for Neal Stevens

I have always enjoyed visiting and exploring the USS Cavalla in Galveston, TX. One of the coolest was climbing into the Conning Tower.

However on my last few visits I have found the conning tower locked with no admittance..What happened??

Perhaps a certain someone may know (hint hint)......;)
