Award shows, now days seems like all they are is a bunch or rich people telling themselves they're the greatest and somehow the only movies/shows/songs/actors/musicians that they show are some hippies that decided to make some political statement during the year. When they decide to honor the arts again instead of personal views I'll start paying attention.

Uh-oh! An Inconvinent Truth just won an Oscar. We'll never see the end of an smug Al Gore now.

Actually, it's more like we'll be seeing posters proclaiming Gore '08 for the next two years.

Al Gore can't run unless Mrs Clinton drops out, they are best of friends ...
Besides he lost his home state ... shame, shame.

Scorcese finally scores one. He really needs to lose those Woody Allenesque glasses. BTW is Jack Nicholson auditioning for the part of Mr. Clean or what?

Boy that was interesting, a lot of rich, happy people, but are they really happy?
I'll go microwave my cheese and bean burrito now and go to bed ... Happy! :yep:

I had to turn the channel after that!
Anyway, American Graffiti would have to be #1 on my list. Ever since I saw that movie I wished I was in my late teens during the 50s or 60s. Very influential to my life. My god, if I ever got a deuce coupe I would die happy.
For now, I will just hotrod my Camaro and try to live as close to John Milner as I can.
I like "Finding Nemo"...
and "Cars"
I'm not much into selfish acting people who do not lead a good example. In fact I'm not in to them at all.
:sunny: :sunny:
I liked Panīs Labyrinth.

Happened to turn on the tube last night just as Algore received his Oscar. The scores of useful idiots in the audience nodding in agreement to his blather was enough to make me puke...
Yours, Mike

Yep, he is rarely, if ever, seen off of a movie set without them.
With my sunglasses on, I'm Jack Nicholson. Without them, I'm fat and seventy.

Must be a lot of sore arms today after all the self-congratulatory patting of their own backs at the Academy Awards last night. Somebody should tell Al Gore and company that an event in which the participants arrive in about 200 stretch limousines probably isn't too good for the environment.

Do as I say, not as I do (http://hotair.com/archives/2007/02/26/inconvenient-als-mansion-consumes-20x-more-energy-than-average-household/).
Now, Boris, you know why some of us don't like Al Gore. He is the environmental equivalent of the war scare mongerer the left accuses VP Cheney and others of being.
Gore has always been a nobody. Even if you like Clinton, there is nothing equivalent to like in Gore.
Except for the fact that he took the initiative in creating the Internet, of course.
He was in good company on Oscar night. Birds of a feather.

Oh boy, lets not go there again....

If you want to have a substantive debate about Mr. Gore, fine, but lets not get bogged down in the silly internet thing...

If he is a scare mongerer, at least his mongering never got anyone killed (to the best of my knowledge).

Please note that I especially quoted him verbatim and did not claim that he invented the Internet. I was already well aware of the the misquote, so neither of us want to go there. :nope: ;)

The same 'if' can be applied to Cheney, thank you.

This time the democratic party made the first move by winning a Oscar,
but we still have 20 months plus 12 more days left till the next election.
How about a sticky: Republican vs Democrat or Democrat vs Republican,
just join them both up together like the pictures, bios, how long we've
been here thread is.
We could call it: "The Mud Slinging Sticky" :yep:
