The article http://www.strategypage.com/htmw/htworld/articles/20070225.aspx about the dutch defending islands from Venezuelan Attack is the most useless article I have ever read. Not anywhere in the article is it mentioned that Netherlands is part of NATO until the very end. And if Venezuelan Attacked they would be protected under NATO. Not just the dutch navy and military.

Comparing Falklands with a Venezuelan attack is also not good. With Argentina Their was alot of Political reasons why Nato Did not help Great Britian during those battles. Chavaz would be crazy to think that he would have the same leaway. And the USA is far from a Friendly Relationship with Chavaz.:down:

i really dont think that chavez wants to take the dutch islands....

but i spose its all about planning for any contingency isnt it

Draw your hypothetical scenarios and stack the numbers. I guess it's a fun exercise for them. Like playing "Hearts of Iron" is fun to me.
