Unknown Version Error

Just re installed Silent Hunter III,tried to install the V1.4 DVD mod,and got the following error.

This program cannot update the installed version of Silent HunterIII US DVD v 1.0 to v1.3 because of the following problem.

c:\Program
Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunter III\data\Air\ALBS_SunderlandMKIII\ALBS_SunderlandM KIII.cfg:unknown version.

When you install erase all the SH folders

Delete the cfg the installer pointed out
Its replaced anyway

If you have the DVD uninstall with it. Go to the Ubi site and download the patch and install. I had the same problem and this worked for me,

Before yo reinstall SH3 you must locate the Silent Hunter directory under Programs/UBI/ and delete it. The uninstall does not remove this directory and it leaves three files which conflict with the new install of the 1.4b patch.

Remove (delete) the SH3 directory and you'll have no problem with the reinstall of SH3 and 1.4b patch.
