I've never paid attention to Sub Week before. Do they just have modern stuff or do they showcase WWI & II subs, too? I'm not real interested in modern subs anymore.

Here's the schedule:
05-Mar
TOP TEN SUBMARINES**
Whether patiently stalking their prey in two World Wars or carrying devastating nuclear missiles as a deterrent in the Cold War, these hunters of the deep have played an often unseen but crucial role in the conflicts of the 20th century. Based on scientific analyses, expert opinion, audience polls and technical comparison, we construct a five-point matrix to rank the TOP TEN SUBMARINES of all time.
06-Mar
SIZE IT UP: SUBS
SIZE IT UP is an exciting, behind-the-scenes look inside extreme military technology, combining heart-pounding action with high-tech wizardry to tell the story of the U.S. Military’s most amazing mechanical marvels. This episode features submarines - from the tiny yet stealthy REMUS, to the mighty and powerful SEAL delivery vehicle.
07-Mar
WEAPONS RACES: The Race for the Nuclear Submarine
This program looks at the way in which both the technology and the tactics of submarine warfare were adapted and developed during the Cold War, and how boats like the USS Virginia and the Russian Akula are today's most powerful and deadly naval units.
08-Mar
EXTREME MACHINES – Nuclear Submarine
The modern sub is both nuclear powered and nuclear armed. The largest, "Boomers," lurk for six months at a time in remote corners of the ocean, rarely detected. America's mighty fleet of subs is the single most important component of national defense, maintaining an incredible strategic and nuclear deterrent across the entire planet.

Ah, but it's international law. You are not authorized (You need to get a lisence from the Military Channel) to copy, redistribute, or sell for public use. I understand that you do have good intentions in all. I think that you can go on their website and see the show, but that's only what I saw on TV.:)

Where the hell is LA? They're the largest production unit in da usa, I mean SEAWOLF, only 3 of them, not counting on first nuke..:smug:

The LA's didn't accomplish much, not counting accidents of course. Seawolf is "ground/sea breaking" technology.

Still, i think it deserves it's place...
As for the accidents, it's officers/captains fault and due to weather factors, but most man errors....:damn:
I'm wondering: what are the odds of single nuke against WWII destroyer under worst weather conditions?

Nuke. I don't even think the Depth Charges fuzes go that deep! It just picks up the DD's active pings, and............:lurk: .......... :lost:

Don't know why an LA would find itself in that situation, but I very highly doubt that the DD can even find the LA. And why would you be in a LA in WWII?:hmm:

The Soviet Plan they described where they would basically barage NATO Carrier Task Forces with Cruise Missles seems pretty hard to stop.
No wonder Rickover called the surface navy obsolete.
