Simply put, it's for the people, the DW people.
Cheers,
David :)
I'm surprised Torplexed didn't make it on :-?

Me too. I guess it's 3 nominations?

I'm running on the Sailor Steve ticket as Vice-Skipper boys. A vote for Steve is a vote for Torplexed. Plus, if Steve buys it in office...there you go. Lots of vice for everyone. ;)

BBW for ever generous and considerate help
My vote goes to comrade Steve, everyone up on the list still deserve to become skippers of the month. To bad that I missed the nominations, I think that comrade Torplexed also deseres a place in that poll. Next month... Next month...

How in heavens name are 'the gang' supposed to be able to vote for just one in this list of candidates :hmm: ...It's quite possible those votes will eventually be cast :yep: But this is probably the most difficult position I've found myself in during the whole of my membership on this forum :yep:
There are so many that are worthy....can't we just make it a 4 - way tie
I aint voted yet and I'm not sure if I'll actually be able to :nope:
That's my dilemna I suppose :damn:
Good luck and salute guys :arrgh!:

:hmm: This is a bit of a poor show, only 84 votes in over 24hrs.
Look, I don't mind loosing by a greater margin but more of us should get involved.
BTW, My VOTE for ME reasons are here;) - Verdammt - I don't want to be last again! (http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=106211)

I call for a judicial inquest.:D

So cheating might be a valid argument.

It's easier than that, Dan; just wait until it's over, demand a recount, demand a second recount, demand a third recount and then take it to court.
And when a higher court overturns that court, accuse them of collusion and say the winner stole the election.
Oh, wait; that didn't work either.:rotfl:

Huh? I think like the election for bush
acuse the other voters for having a criminal record, if they dont have any just make up false official looking documents of the criminal records

How do I retract my vote if Danlisa welches on the strong Cornish beer he promised me?
Or can I impeach him at a later date?

I think it has something to do with the deadline being posted and X amount of people thinking, "Hey, I can make a difference if I wait till the last moment to vote"
or maybe some of the punch cards still have the little chad in them ...

Glad to have been the first to nominate ya Steve. And it wasn't just favoritism of any sort - you just happen to be an excellent combination of everything I may possibly like about a poster here on Subsim - in no little measure the right attitude

Neal says I have to do a bio or I have to clean the scuppers; my choice.
Born in Dallas, Texas ( ) back in the middle of the last century.
Moved to Lost Angels, Cantafordya when I was two. (That's L.A. California for those not versed in "Old Sailor Speak").
Started playing guitar in '65, and bass in '67 (the Summer of Love, hey! )
Spent a year at college in the hippie heyday.
Dropped out and joined The Navy in '69.
Got taught to be a radio guy and put on a Zerstorer (sorry, my keyboard won't do umlauts).
Got sent to the first 'Bad War'; saw the lovely Viet Nam coastline. Did fire support for the jarheads, search and rescue of the coast of Hanoi (searched a lot; never got asked to rescue anybody), played escort for the carriers Ranger and Bon Homme Richard (did pick up the pilots from a downed Phantom once, but that's a story in itself). Came back home to Long Beach. Got out on a special discharge in December of '70.
Moved to the great mountains of Utah in '71.
Got married in '73.
Got divorced in '85. Bummer, but I have two lovely daughters to show for it. And no, you can't have their numbers, so don't ask!:hulk:
Been doing a lot of different jobs all along; never found one that stuck.
Been in and out of bands all this time; still playing off and on (mostly recording with a couple of friends).
Found subsim almost five years ago now.
Got one foot in the grave, but the other one still dreams about stages and spotlights.
I read at least four books per month, anything from mysteries to biographies, but mostly tend toward the great classics and non-fiction.
Love history.
Love planes and ships, and love to play subsims!
That's me, okay? Now go away and leave me alone!
