What are the best damage mods to use?
I have seen some with flying people in the downloads section of subsim but it says in the readme file Jungmans DC radious mod is needed for it which I can't find. The file is called Hollywood part2, so where would part 1 be?
Also looking for a mod that shows better damage.

Are there good download sites for these sorts of mods?

Thanks,
Leigh

Right now there is a great torpedo damage mod that works with GWX. Find it over at the mods forums. Other than that Sobers water mod is great also.

If you are using GWX, the GWX version of the mod is located here (You don't need Jungman's or any other mods to use it and there is only one part to it):

Gouldjg's Hollywood Damage Mod:

see this thread for description:

For other damage effects, I would second the suggestions above for "Ocean Blue's" torpedo and deck gun damage mod.

The torpedo damage mod looks great.
Think I'm having a problem with the Hollywood damage mod though as Silent Hunter III now keeps crashing.
Can anyone confirm that the files go straight into the Data folder which is what the readme says?

Thanks for all your help

Are you playing stock SH3 or you use any of the mods? If you use mods remember that they have their own damage models and if you try to change them you might mess up the game.

Quite right

Its been a very long time since I set damage for stock game. I think Hollywood 3 and 4 went that way and then it all stopped.

Let us know what you playing and I will get back to you with advise.
