This is something. I've heard of this happening before. I remember a story from about a year ago along similar lines. I'm always amazed that someone can go unnoticed for so long, especially with a "blaring" TV.

Grief im surprised he didnt have visitors or something, im sure some one should have noticed he hadnt been out the house in a year, not to mention the cable company and tv licencing.

Sounds like conceptual art reflecting modern times.
CATV, electrics and other utilities included in the rent. Rent paid with a debit card. Enough money in the bank account for at least one year of rent. A hallway that smells so bad the odor of a rotting corpse goes unnoticed?
