I'm sure it soon will be reported in English-language medias, too. Within just 15 minutes, German paragliding world champion Eva Wisnierska was carried from 700 m to up to 10.000 m (yes, meters!) by strong winds during storms, and drifted there without consciousness for half an hour before gliding back to earth. She woke up again just 500 m above the ground, and thus was able to control the landing instead of slamming into the ground. She survived and wants to join the coming champinship nevertheless.
