The game will hang for awhile, be patient and see waht happens.

Failing that are you trying to use and old campaign save?

The load times are definitely longer in GWX, but it is worth the wait. What eventually happened?

Also, what was the install procedure you used?

Before you eventually decide to reinstall everything, to to Defrag your HD first...it may speed up loading times.

i dont really know the install procedure i used i was having trouble so i uninstalled everything and started over, and i kind of stumbled through and got it right somehow, it just sits there right near the end of the loading bar for a long time, im gonna try it again and give it 10 minutes, i also toned down alot of the visual stuff in the settings,

On my laptop, they are actually slightly quicker than for the stock version. I've never been able to figure that one out.

1. unistall SHIII and make sure nothing is left from the uninstallation
2. Reinstall SHIII and patch it to 1.4b
3. Install GWX
4. RTFM!
5. Play

Did you forget to delete the SH3-folder in your MyDocuments, after uninstalling?

Answer 1) Nope

Answer 2) Use Milk Cows (late war) they'll appear on the map.

The 1st patrol always seems to load eternally but it will eventually finish. Go drink some coffee to be ready for the all new GWX experience. ;)

Loading time is just needed to dim lights (eventually fitting a red bulb) gather some kind of food, a few beers (or any other beverage of your choice) a pack of cigarettes, lighter, ash tray, and install everything safely and in a practical way around the computer before going on a long patrol...:D

how do you refuel at sea?

Hit F1 and you'll be able to see the time and locations of resupply Uboats and much more info.
