i NEED YOUR HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
SO I WAS STALKING THIS CONVOY AND I TOOK OUT ABOUT TEN SHIPS, THEN WENT AWAY AND LOADED SOME MORE EXTERNAL TORPS, THEN CHASED THE CONVOY AND SANK A FIJI CLASS CRUSIER AND TWO LARGE CARGOES. THEN AN ESCORT CORVETTER DOES ONE LINE OF DCs AND I GET #@$%ED, MY RADIO ROOM IS DESTROYED, ONE KILLED ONE WOUNDED, THE COMMAND ROOM IS RED, DIESEL ENGINE ROOM YELLOW AND THE FORWARD BUNK ROOM IS YELLOW WITH HEAVEY FLOODING, ALMOST FULL. SO I REPAIR ALL THAT NEEDS REPAIRING AND THE FORWARD BUNK ROOM IS STILL ALMOST FLOODED AND STILL YELLOW, BUT IT SAYS EVERYTHING IS NORMAL AND THERE IS NO COUNTER FOR WHEN THE FLOODING IS GONE. I CHEATED THIS ONE TIME, SAID UNLIMITED COMPRESSED AIR, AND IM USING IT LIKE CRAZY CAUSE THE BOAT IS CONSTANTLY GOING DEEPER. sO HOW DO I GET THE FLOODING TO GO AWAY AND HOW DO I MAKE THE YELLOW GO AWAY.

1) Make sure you aren't silent running,
2)fill the damaged, flooding compartment as full as possible with crew,
3)fill the damage control party as full as possible with crew, and assign an officer to it,
4) click on the damaged, flooding compartment up in the damage control area,
5)and pray.

If it says everything in the room is normal, it may just take time to pump the compartment dry. Just because you've stopped the flooding and fixed the damage doesn't automatically pump the compartment out.

Ok the flood time recovery countdown just appeared, thank god...But with the forward bunk room almost completely flooded will that cause the ship to go deeper?

Ummmm . . . yep. Uh-huh!! Gol'-dang fer sure!! :yep: :yep: :yep:

Your options are: 1) crank up the electrics, or 2) surface.

If you stay submerged and at slow speeds the added weight of the water will drag you down. Enough flooding and even the electrics with full up planes won't keep you from sinking. In that unhappy event your only other option is to surface . . . and if you're out of compressed air and are too deep . . . :dead:

The flooding is over, now how do you carry out a burial at sea?

you will see two little icons in the flooded compartments: one shows you how long until flooding is complete in that section, the other how long until you have pumped out the water; they should give you a good idea whether or not you are winning this particular battle.

Otherwise, break open the beer rations and drink to your impending doom...;)

Right click on the deceased crewman: the option to bury at sea will then appear.

Its a sad day for U-53, the ship made it but one brother died and the other brother is wounded. Same last name so i assumed they were brothers.

If they're the Hartmann's, then they must be quadruplets, because Erich and Fritz are aboard U-33. They'll take the loss hard, but they'll know their siblings died an honorable death.;)

I remember once, some time ago, getting hammered by depth charges. By the time I'd stopped the flooding (but still was heavily flooded) I was at 320 meters (yeppers; that's right: 320 meters) . . . bow down . . . and sliding deeper . . . and deeper . . . and deeper.

Was at back full trying to keep from sinking deeper but could only do 2 knots as my batteries had taken a lot of damage and lost almost all their charge. All the damage was repaired, but I simply couldn't pump the water out fast enough, and kept slowly sinking. And as deep as I was, I started hearing the dreaded glass-breaking sound as my hull started taking damage . . . which sprung leaks . . . and started flooding even more . . . --sighs--

I think it took about 10 minutes before my hull finally collapsed. Ten very very long minutes; all the while during that I was dismally aware I was fighting a losing battle that had only one conclusion. :dead:

What is sorely lacking in SH-3 is a damage control training section. Could a mod be made? :hmm:

Everything turned out ok, about 45 minutes (real time) later the DCs stopped and the ship went away. i blew ballast like 4 times and was going flank and i burst out of the water then the screen goes black, i thought one of my friends was IMing me butthen a message appeared with terrible graphics, it said "The 1lanmri Display Driver is not working. You must save your work and reboot your computer." So i was pissed. i opened my 20 year old bottle of jack daniels and started drinking, i also think i shot a few shotgun shells into some trees.

Green or Black label?

I might suggest buckshot for the shotgun, here in the NE it use near useless anyhow except for maybe #4 as a back-up coyote load imo. But that, wouldn't happen if a bottle was open.
Never heard of 1lanmri Display Driver, but don't you hate the Windows crash pop-up? B friggin S they are sorry for the inconvenience. And i want to speak with these "we" people.
