D/l The SH3 commander extra files from my FF page the link is just under my sig.
Make sure you have rolled back commander before you install.
This should fix your problem.
Though i would deactive all mods other than the 23rd corrections then load up to see if it works. then add the mods back on 1 by one to check they dont crash your install.

It is indeed a tga only
Try disabling all the mods through JSGME except the Dec 23rd patch and see what happens

Just a thought
Is the Dec patch installed properly ?

The directory address should be
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\MODS\GWX - Dec 23rd Corrections\data
Not
C:\Program Files\Ubisoft\SilentHunterIII\MODS\GWX - Dec 23rd Corrections\GWX - Dec 23rd Corrections\data

I was originally having problems with GWX crashing and shortly afterwards windows also started crashing. After much stuffing around swapping ram psu video card ect, I found some faulty capacitors on the Mainboard.

Capacitors tend to fail after a while especially if they are near heatsinks and they get hot, to see if yours are faulty check all the caps in your psu and mainboard to see if the tops are flat or swolen (convex shape) if they are flat they are probably ok, if they are swollen its best to replace them.

Sometimes you will see a brown liquid (which would be dry and flaky by now) this is the dialetric and it should be inside not out, also a sign of a faulty capacitor.

The ones that were failing on my mainboard were the ones near the cpu (6 of them) and a few in the PSU that I replaced anyway due to swelling.

You need to be good with a soldering iron or you risk ruining your mainboard.

Always replace them with the same farad rating and with the same or higher voltage rating on the capacitor.

Its worth having a look.

PS make sure your pc is UNPLUGGED FROM THE WALL before poking around in the PSU.

who would like to "play" replacing capaciitors anyway ?
I had problems with capacitors on my bloody Intel motherboard ages ago, PC would shut down by itself after being switched on for some time..
I had couple of options to choose: 1. replace faulty capacitor and wait for another to burn out or.. 2. Swap the motherboard instead and save some nerves on this..
So I made a second choise and I it was ok.
