Loaded my saved game this AM and received a rather peculiar surprise. Upon the load finishing, my new IXB (1st Patrol) immediately went vertical--straight down. Nothing would stop the descent (tried flank, reverse, blowing tanks, etc). Was taking pressure damage for a while until the dive was stopped at 503 meters. No more damage reported after that.
Any ideas? My bridge watch is still up there and I think they're becoming perturbed.

Wild guess
Was your save while you were submerged ?

Odd usually happens in submerged saves
Do you have a previous save you can try - you will lose the last one but pretty sure you are boned anyway as no way back up :nope:

Start another save. You have been hosed by the bug. Save surfaced, away from ships and DD.

Hasn't SHWeather been known to do this? Not sure about the newer version.

Negative. It's not really a big deal though since it's the 1st patrol. I just feel sorry for the guys on the bridge. They're really feeling the "pressure" now :nope: . I think they blame me.
Maybe I'll delete my old profiles in My Docs~ and try reloading it.
FYI: Running GWX  . Just added the weather mod last night to check it out. Might be a connection there...

Thank You for the Very quick response Gentleskippers!!!
It appears to be the weather mod. I started up that program again and reapplied random weather and all is well.
Thanks Again for your help!!!

I would get that problem if I restarted a save without going through SH3 Commander....
