Started a new career in June of '44 so I am snorkeling through BF16, when we pick up the sound of a merchant ship moving slowly ahead of us, so we snorkel over to take a look, and what do I find? A small unescorted convoy in broad daylight, consisting of 2 large tankers, 2 medium Cargo and a small merchant. To damn bad its a neutral convoy, flags lit up and running lights on. What country has a Green/White/Orange flag? It is not on the flag chart, so I said the hell with it and sunk the whole convoy, all 52000+ GRT of it.
You sank a lot of Irishmen. I would stay clear of Dublin for a while cos the IRA will be looking for you! I don't think BdU will be too pleased either because whilst the Irish are neutral Germany would love to have them onside.

In the Cruel Sea Nicholas Montserat makes the accusation that Bdu were recieving intelligence from Southern Ireland on outgoing convoys, so I reckon your in big trouble....

In real life one of the Guiness ships was sunk by a U-boat during WW2. Maybe the captain prefered Beck's???:rotfl::rotfl:

I would stay clear of Dublin for a while cos the IRS will be looking for you!
WO: Kaleun! There is a business man approaching the boat, he's saying something about tax fraud?
Kaluen: S**t, they mean it when they say they will find you where ever you are...
WO: ALARM!
