Here is a strange issue. I have tried both mp3's and .ogg files in the gramaphone folder, but as soon as the game loads to the command room the game crashes back to the destop with the option to send an error report. I wonder where those error reports go.
Anyway has anyone else had this issue?
What does the error report say, mate?

not a heck of a lot. I have tried 2 diffrent programs to make the ogg ans I thought that may have been the issue. I deciphered what I could from the report and it states there is something wrong with music.cfg and I have reinstalled twice to get the same error.
PS: I made my first banner (YAY) i know it has nothing to do with u-boats, but I am happy with myslef. Just so that I know, what it the max pixel dimensiosn (Like 468X60 or such)

Weird problem there, matey! Cant remember havin' seen that before... You say that the music.cfg file has something to do with this... To my knowledge, installing new tracks is simply to drag & drop them into the gramophone folder. Do you have music elsewhere (When the main menu is showing)? I just wonder if this is concentrated to the gramophone folder.

Well at first I ripped directly from my MP3 player and put it right in the folder. Then it tanked. I had been editong some files an generally getting myself into trouble, so I did a fresh install. I didnt play with anything and this time I tried the music in OGG. Again it tanked as soon as it hit the command room screne. I had read that some of the problems could be resolved by removeing the Music.cfg. I did that and got the same results. The first program i used to convert to ogg was Cool edit pro, then I used Adobe Auditon (Before you say they are the same thing, I was using version 1.5 of cool edit. A lot has changed). It isnt a big deal, I can just use media player and turn the game music off or just use my mp3 player.

I fixed it. It was because the file names were too long. CHanged them and it was fixed. YAY

I thought it was, but it isnt. I need to get a copy of the original music.cfg because like the retard that I am i deleted it without makeing a backup. Oh well, im going to rip and reinstall it tomorrow. Its been a long day today and I just dont have it in me to rip it out, install it, than install GWX.
