It is up to you guys but maybe we should attempt a mod of the month vote. Many folks have been adding small mods that add up to a lot. I just added the damage texture mod and it is out of this world. If we decide to have a mod of the month vote, this mod is number one for me this month!
Damage texture mod created by Ocean Blue. Excellent!

I think the first months winner will
be a tie between the Longer wakes mod and
the improved torpedo damage mods.

I vote for the seagull-color mod, I like that i can now tell them apart by their iris color. It's not compatible with GWX though, so you have to decide which one to go with, although for me it's no contest...Seagulls all the way baby!!!
I have GWX and sobers 3d waves  so i'm not that much of a hardcore modder...but would someone please post up some pictures of that Damage texture mod, that would be great.

If the criteria is - Mod of (Current) Month
Then my vote goes to Reece for his new (adapted) Bearing Overlay.
Not only has he corrected the degree offset but I personally know what he's come up against trying to get the overlay working. Eh, Reece;)
Note - whether it's an adaption to an existing mod or a completely new mod, anything that benefits this community always gets my vote.

Thats the thing gents, small wonderful mods are created such as Ocean Blue's and it gets out to a few and then buried within the mod forum. I used the torpedo damage mod last night. Whacked a DD in the bow. Huge, gaping 3D hole appeared. My jaw dropped to the keyboard and drool came out.:o The DD nosed into the sea and away she went. In my udder amazment I did not print the darn thing.;) At that point, I felt that Ocean Blue had created a small mod that spoke volumes. A little recognition was in order:up: . Sober's 3D wave mod speaks volumes to me also. After I installed GWX, it was the only mod I put in as well. So, IMHO, I would like have some recognition for the smaller mods that add a lot. As far as GWX, they have won the Academy Award for best in show and class! These smaller mods just add more to the enjoyment. Oh, I forgot but the cannon shell damage is awesome also! Way to go Ocean Blue! You got my vote this month!:D

I agree. Ocean Blue's Damage mod, Sober's 3D waves, Fubar's & Danlisa's Sub Skins and Venatore's Ships and Torpedoes Wakes are the only things you need to add to GWX. They add the little extra to make a fantastic mod/experience into a BRILLIANT one:yep: Well Done Guys, Thank you all Very Much:up:

Wouldn't it be better to make a poll and include whicever mods you guys think that qualify for the "Mod of the Month" and possibly with some screenshots (maybe even a download link :P) for the people that haven't heard of them so this wat they can try them and give their oppinions on the matter?

That's exactly what I was going to say. They don't seem to get up-loaded to this site for some reason, and unless you're lucky enough to read the thread that concerns them, you can really miss out.
I've just downloaded the damage mod, looking forward to trying it out when i get back into port. Many thanks to the creator:up:

And another cool thing would to award some cups and medals to the winners.
For best visual aspect, or improved gameplay or whatever you guys decide. I'm new at this game but i think it would be a great ideea to reward the modders for their efforts.

Yeah, a poll started the for previous months mods. Like I said, in all reality, these excellent mods get to a few and then buried in the mod forum never to surface again. Like the clanging bell mod. What is it and where can I find the bugger? Maybe with Seths new responsibilities he could conduct such a thread?
Seth? Your thoughts!

Sorry, but I donīt understand what you ask the moderators to do. ;) Do you want a poll? Start one, everybody can do that. :) Or would you like to have a thread that lists the most recent mods? We have a sticky thread for that in the mods forum, you or the mod makers could ask the mods forum moderators to update the list.

Whatever you and Seth can think of that is not an extra burden on what you two do already. Just a thought for some recognition on the small addtions that are great additions to the game. Maybe just a link page in the mod forum for all the mods. I do not know at this point. Mull it over and see what you think.:hmm:

Like I said, that already exists:

Since Seth and I donīt moderate that forum we canīt update the list.
My powers only works in the SHIII & SHIII sub-forums, mate.. This "Mod of the month" should be placed in the Mods section, just as Gizzmoe says. I think thats where it belongs, mate! I support anything that rewards the excellent modders in this community! Someone would have to be in charge for updating & passing out the rewards, though..
