This was the op that Kap's video he posted a few days ago is about.

It is when a bunch of Viktors punched into the Atlantic and the US Navy couldn't track them. Thing is I can find bugger all on the net about it.

anyone else have any luck?

Back in the 80's I think. Kaps link is to a youtube clip but it is all in Russian.

Now wasn't it about the time of Atrida that a Victor was picked up by a British ASW unit sitting at the mouth of one of our major rivers, I think it might have been the Humber?

I seem to recall reading something about it a long time ago. :hmm:

Hmmm, my cyrillic ain't brilliant...but I think it's this one...I recognise this show, they've done a lot of stuff on various Russian weapons, including the Topol M IIRC, it looks a good show...

Now if only someone could subtitle it...
