Rear Admiral Yancy Graham (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001136/): Now, call me a prude if you want, but I don't think it's good policy for the Navy to hand over a billion-dollar piece of equipment to a man who has "Welcome Aboard" tattooed on his penis.
-----------------------------------------------------
Lt. Comd. Dodge (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001288/): Oh gee. Now I've gone and done it, ruined my career.
Captain Carl Knox (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000513/): [Reading a radio message] Apparently not. This is just in from COMSUBLANT. You're to report to Norfolk immediately... to take command of your own submarine.
Lt. Comd. Dodge (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001288/): That's not funny.
Captain Carl Knox (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0000513/): No, it's not. That's why they decoded it twice.
-----------------------------------------------------
Seaman Nitro 'Mike' (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0403947/): Radio's workin' like a swiss... car.
------------------------------------------------------
Lt. Comd. Dodge (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001288/): Hearing anything unusual, Sonar?
"Sonar" Lovacelli (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005558/): Uh, nothing much, sir. Buckman's eating an Oreo up in the galley... Stepanak's taking a leak.
-------------------------------------------------------
"Sonar" Lovacelli (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005558/): [Whispering, and pointing straight up] Sir, it's the Orlando. Someone just dropped 45 cents.
Lt. Comd. Dodge (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001288/): Are you sure?
"Sonar" Lovacelli (http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0005558/): Oh, yeah. A quarter and 2 dimes.

Now how 'bout that?:arrgh!: :arrgh!: :arrgh!: :arrgh!:

Tim Conway pretty much personified the kind of screw-up we're talking about. David Alan Grier was pretty good too; just about the only good thing in that awful remake movie.
The SHIV version of Bernard should be ... MURPHY!
As in Murphy's Law. If something can go wrong it will.

For those of us who have not played SH3 and so have not taken part in the SH3 forums, could someone explain the history behind Bernard and how he came to be?
http://www.subsim.com/radioroom/showthread.php?t=84773
Here is the first time Bernard appear. He is the guy to blame for anything that goes wrong. Examples; Crash diving in shallow waters is typically Bernard's fault.. If you suddenly is rammed by a DD, Bernard is probably on watch duty.. and so on... He is the "Gomer Pyle" of the kriegsmarine..

The Royal Norwegian Navy became the first navy in the world to appoint a female submarine captain.

So, I suppose that captain's quarters in Norwegian subs are nothing like the ones in my VIIC... :rotfl:

Still vaguely remembers the episode were Ensign Parker shoots down Cpt Binghampton, (spelling?),their base commander, while the Cpt was using an airplane to spy on the PT 73 crew. For some odd reason Parker thought it was a Japanese plane...what was even odder was that he actually hit it.
Binghampton was not amused...heh.
