Is the GWX upgrade download that was supposed to be ready for January 31 available yet, if so, where do I get it. Thanks

Rob

Well maybe the Kpt could give us an update on how things are going and whether or not he got his computer fixed yet. :yep: See attached thread.

I've started compiling the patch (now titled patch 1.02). I expect it to be ready, sans any additions that the Kpt wants (although at this stage everything the Kpt has tabled to be "fixed" has been), by mid-next week. It will be released exclusively to the GWX beta testers some time soon after for about one to two weeks of testing.

So far patch 1.02 includes the previously released hotfixes and (Dec) patch plus *many* campaign and roster enhancements.

As soon as Kpt has a onnection of sorts really
Pretty sure most things are in now so its just a matter of a couple of ok's from the Kpt to a couple of additions

Now would be a good time for you and the other GWX testers to report to the Den and await further orders. ;)

For the benefit of everyone else, the patch, now formally known as GWX Patch 1.02, has been built and will be u/l for "closed" testing later today. The number of problems found will determine whether the length of testing is one week, two weeks, or longer.

Guys like Ref, BBW, Rubini, Pablo and U768 have put quite a lot of effort into this release. They never cease to amaze me. :yep:   Likewise GWX teamsters VonHelsching, JCWolf, Boris and Nippelspanner have all directly contributed to this patch.

My understanding is that there will be no new units (ships, planes etc) these will come in the Spring update. Roster enhancements mean that some ships/planes will be available to other countries as well

Since this deals with GWX I thought I would mention this for possible fix in the Jan 31 update.

IMO there are two waypoints that are too close to the shoreline and I have crashed there several times trying to travel the canal.

There are a couple more that could be modified as well.

It would be nice to have these waypoints corrected before the final Jan 31 update comes out.

No offence intended, it's just that I have to increase magnification to 2500m to travel the canal and I really don't like crashing.

I would prefer to start the waypoints, both out and in and let the sub travel without worrying about hitting the shoreline.
