Hello.

When I was a kid, I was an avid fan of the original SH. Recently, I've been looking into getting back into sims. As such, I've been looking to get SHIII. I went to Ubi's website to download it, but it says under a "Known Issues" heading that "Laptops are not supported.". This is a problem, as my current gaming PC is a laptop.

Is this a problem, or can my laptop handle it? It is worth noting that my laptop is brand new and quite powerful(enough so to handle FEAR near max settings).

I don't think you'll have any problem with SH3 and a laptop. I'm using a laptop to play SH3/GW1.1a/GWX and I never had any problems. As long as you have the CPU power and the RAM you should be OK

I have more than enough CPU power and RAM. Thanks for your help!

I run SHIII on a Laptop just fine and my specs are not that great (P IV 3.2GHz, Nvidia Geforce FX Go 5200 64MB and 1GB of RAM). If your laptop has even slightly higher specs than that...and I assume it does since you say it is for gaming. You will be able to play SHIII with all the bells and whistles available...comfortably.

Gah, I run a top spec SH3/GWX install on my laptop without a major problem (a little bit of studder in port)

Yep :)!

-2GB RAM
-1.6 GHz Intel Centrino Duo processor
-Nvidia 7600
-XP Service Pack 2

And HD space is not an issue.
