This SH 4 Draft Box ( stole from Neals post :smug: ) dosn't show either DVD nor CD.

Hopefully it will be DVD or we're going to have 8 or 9 CD's to load. :damn:
Anyone know for sure? ( OH Neal )
I highly doubt CD.
Is any game still even released on CD these days? Many games need two or three DVDs.

SHIII was DVD - so why in world wouldn't SHIV be DVD?
:nope:
It's not even a legitimate question really.

I expect it will be a DVD.

It might ship on many CDs as an alternative, but I highly doubt it. SH4 would probably take many, many CDs.
In addition, keep in mind that they'll also have to ship that bonus DVD with the one hour long documentary.

I'd be willing to wager the only physical media made available will be DVD.

Or the source code in morse, to be decoded and typed in manually.
Seriously, though, CDs are losing the fight. Just like the VHS of old.
I think it's more of an economy issue and, let's face it, DVDs will be cheaper now. Given the relative install size of SHIII, plus what I am already suspecting are higher-res graphics and video content... it'll take up a full DVD. That'd be a heck of a lot of CDs to use instead of it.

CD is 100% impossible :shifty:
Even for DVD-5(6 times the volume of a 700Mb CD) is not likely
They will probably put SH4 in a DVD-9 (double layer, like most video DVDs on sale right now), with SecuRom  (no more starforce!!!), which is identical to that used to store Rainbow Six: Vegas, which was released by Ubisoft in December, 2006

Before posting I tried to focus in on the bottom of the pic to see if it stated DVD or CD but was to blurry and looked like there wasn't any wording in that spot period. If I'd have seen that I would NOT have started this thread in the first place. :damn: You MUST have very good eyes.:hmm:
Even though it was a while back "FarCry" came out with 'five' CD disc ( I think there was also a DVD version ? ) so even though it does make sense to make SH IV a DVD you sometimes do not know what these Sim/Game publishers will do next. Nothing nowdays would supprise me, but I too will go along with the DVD idea.

I cant make out the individual letters but, I can tell that it has three letters, so it must be DVD. :D and I wasnt trying to be an ass, if thats what your getting at.

No real reason to release a CD version. I prefer the classic argument: if you can afford a £1,000 computer capable of playing the game, you should be able to afford a £20 DVD drive.
