Hi Guys,
I have Silent Hunter III and have downloaded the fab Grey Wolves mod pack! Well done to all by the way. My question is this: Do i have to buy Seawolves? expansion pack and will it make a difference to the above installed....or is it not necessary.
Thx

Hi and welcome to Subsim
GWX is far superior to Seawolves in every way
You dont need Seawolves
Nor can you add Seawolves to GWX

You can have Seawolves on a seperate install but why bother ?
If you need variety have a NYGM or WAC2 install
They are both free and better too

Welcome Matey :sunny:

No you do not have to buy Seawolves.

GWX has more content and is free.:up:

If you do want Seawolves then you should have a second installation of SH3 and run Seawolves on that.

My Suggestion - Stay with GWX it is far superior.:yep:

Edit - Oh bugger, what he said.:roll:

Seawolf=lots of $ spent.
GWX=$0.00 and great fun.

Case closed.

See you on the high seas:up:

Hey Steed, yeah i hope so too...would it be best to start with a type IIA and work my way up? Ive just posted about U-Boat type introduction...any thoughts would be great!

Do not buy Seawoves. GWX does the trick and a lot more because it's made by people who actually use SH3 and love the game. Kpt. Lehmann and his team did a great work. Check it out.

Hey, f16falcon, dont get lured into the evil net of the IX-boys! Come join us merry men of the Type VII! :D

Welcome to SubSim!

Right on!
VIIb's are the fastest and most agile. Prien and Kretschmer commanded these. No doubt, the most succesful boats.

Hey, F16Falcon. Start with a II, good experience. But don't waste fuel. then move to VII. By the time things will get serious you'll need the experienced crew. The experience you'll gain will help you survive.:up:

Ha! Donitz would have a soft spot for the IX if Ducimus & I were Kaleuns back in WWII. No VII Kaleun would even come close to the amount of ships sunk in my IX.:smug:

I will not hear anymore 'bad-mouthing' about the type 9's.:p

They're the best and that's the end of it.:yep:

Now, all you VII kaleun's can go off and play with your little toys while us men do what needs to be done.:rotfl:

LOL, we all know IX-boys are compensating for something! The true Kaleuns go for short hit n run patrols in a VII, and bumps back to Lorient for cocktails and nurses.

Dont worry boys, I will join the geriatric IX-club when my reflexes are gone. Then Dönitz will send me on endless and pointless cruises in the milk cows just to honour my earlier exploits... just like you!:D

Well I got tired of BDU telling me to press the attack. Well damnit, give me more torps and I will. So I got the IX and they still don't shut up. :shifty:

P.S. Since I'm playing GWX, I'm going to be a little cautious this time around and get the IXB because you can dive just a little bit quicker than the IXC and I think I'll eventually need those precious few seconds if I survive to be around during the later part of the war. ;)

What ever happens!
Stick to the IXB that's a fine Boot and you can out-cruise any VII! any day and back again. It ha plently o' room. It's the Mercedes Benz among the Boots!!!

If a type VII runs out of Diesel then you can remind those who sail those little boots to take a hike!

I it's a Boot for the real man....It's large...and thick...loaded to the roof and lots of endurance to sail in new waters.:hmm:

You get the hint, eh:ahoy:
