Hi Everyone,
Anyone know what happened to the target lock in GWX? How can I get it back?
I don't like taking snapshots. The fruit machine in a submarine used to keep the target position.

Target lock still works
Just not at a great distance
From around 4km and under it locks ok
That figure is reduced at night or in bad light

I think ridgewayranger meant the _mark_ of locking, a small triangle. :) I haven't even noticed that there is no more this mark in GWX.

If you mean the green\red triangle yes its still there

It sure is!

Can I add another (probably stooopid) question? I'm playing with auto-targeting (yes, weak I know) and wondered why the triangle 'directs me' up and down, not just left to right? Is this to show you the correct range if not in auto? It doesn't seem to matter in auto?

Apologies in advance for any gross lack of intelligence inherent in this question...

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I know the triangle is still there but when I click on the target the marker disappears after about 3 seconds regardless of range. Most of my sinkings are by gunfire since I just cannot get the hang of manual setting.

The further you are away from the target the greater the sea movement effect on the boat impacts on your ability to keep it 'locked' :yep: (if that's what your asking) :hmm:

Hi Jimbuna,
No that isn't what I mean. Even at point blank range my marker only stays visible for 3 seconds. Sounds as if I've got a problem, I guess.

Have you got WO assistance box ticked and (daft as it may sounds) Are you sure your scope is sufficiently out of the water ? :hmm:

Affirmative to both, Jimbuna. In which file can I find the control for duration of lock? There must be an infinity setting somewhere.
