:ping: new to GWX,started 41, Brest U96,`wanted a bit more history about sub and crew.found a wicked site "U boat.net" got songs,emblems and sub history,pasted captains picture to my SH3 files and got emblem.U96 was sunk in 45,captain died in 1986,and gave advice on the film DAS BOOT.just adds a bit more taste to the game,well worth a loooooooook.

Welcome aboard, matey! Don't worry if anyone gives you flak for posting about things most of us know, we've all done it at one time or another. Glad to see someone new taking such an interest in the history as well as the game. I believe that is at the core of many of the great mods out there, like GWX. There are also a good number of stories and patrol logs out there if you like to immerse yourself that way too. Laughing Swordfish has a very long running story posted on this board that you'll enjoy and myself and others have some off-site stories too.
