Alright folks, I have to share this with you as I've worked for along time for this and I haven't shared this with you guys.
As of a month ago, and now that it's all finalized, I'm a P.hD.!!!!:know:
I finally finished my P.hD. in Biochem. It's been a long journey, and I have no idea what I'm going to do now (or what I want to do), but It's nice to finally have that B*llSh*t done with.
But, I have to say this, SH3 helped keep me semi-sane through the final years. When I was frustrated, I took it out on the allied shipping. Thanks for the great Mods and the fun forum guys--It really help me to keep my mind straight.
Actually, sometimes SH3 kept me up way later than I should of been:D. BUT, it was soo much more fun than the other crap I had to do (and still have to do with my interim job).
To everyone, I says, "Thanks". Everyones sense of humor and "niceness" on this forum is awesome.

PS. Don't call me Dr.--My childhood friends can't let that go:roll:

gamers2000: Working on it. Though, my experiments to this point show that to rid my u-boat of Bernard, I must also get rid of myself??? :shifty: I must be analyzing the data wrong--or maybe I'm.....:o. No, no, we can't let our minds go there:rotfl:
Albrecht Von Hesse and IRONxMortlock; Thanks ;)

Congratulations man! At least you have a cool title! :)
I completed Higher Education (Journalism) to become...
... a bachelor ...
Great.
Just great.
That'll work with the chicks!!
No, wait :damn::nope::rotfl:

Gezoes I hear you. And let me tell you this, the title doesn't do anything with the chicks :D
I learned along time ago to NOT talk about what I do with girls I didn't know well. When a girl used to ask me what I did, I'd say, "I'm a protein biochemist. I study deamidation.." and at this point I'd be getting a blank stare. And shortly after that they'd be walking away.
Now I tell them that I'm in the circus. That at least keeps them around a bit longer:rotfl:

Congrats and welcome to the club! Just a FYI - The initials behind your name should be Ph.D., not P.hD. My guess is that this was just a typo on your part, but just in case... ;)
Don't be surprised if you have dreams about needeing to make additional corrections to your dissertation. I had them for months!
Kudos on a job well done!
Now that you have your PH.d under your belt, you can openly confess you are a submarine nut. Congratulations!

SubConscious: yep, typo. Too many beers.
Meh...I'm done with thinking about my dissertation, it kept me up for enough nights...if there's errors now, too late I says. Hell, I'm not even confident that the majority of my committee actually read my thesis :hmm:. Now it's just publishing the data that's keeping me up ;). Publish or perish, so they say. Though I am almost ready to submit two manuscripts for pub..

EDIT: Removed passive tense: I am a scientist.

SubConscious: DAMN YOU APES! Yea, you might be right. Hell, I'll buy you a beer if you're right. But you just might be wrong on this point. Or right, I don't know. I feel your bitterness--the bitterness that is only forged in the halls of academia. As brothers, we are.
Kpt. Lehmann: If that isn't sarcasm, hell, than I don't know what is :D. Well, then again, I don't do that bad for myself :rotfl:
Edit: my bad spelling and typos--probably more.

I find that Introducing myself as Kriegsmarine Kapitanleutnant of U-48 stationned out of Lorient, France and responsible for over 20 000tonnes of allied tonnage sunk fails to impress as much at cocktail parties as i had hoped for.
So now i just tell them I'm in the "Adult" Video industry...

Congratulations, Dr.:rotfl:
There is a General Topics board just for this stuff.
As for the girls, tell them you're a phud. As in Jeremy Hilary Boob, Phud. From Yellow Submarine.
And that makes it on topic.
You're welcome.
