newbie questions,resupply

:damn: my questions are,how do i resupply without going all the way back to base?i float next to a (replenish) ship and try to push escape button and nothing.and is there any replenish ships away from base? 2nd question-how do i open tube doors before firing torpedo? thanks for any responses:D

1. When close to a resupply ship (less than about 20 kms) press Esc and then choose the "abort mission" option. Than if you see "dock at...", click it to dock at a resupply ship, if it doesn't say "dock at..." choose "continue mission" and try to get closer to the ship.

To check if any resupply ships are available, press Esc when in game and check the "Resupply" section there, provides some very useful information.

2. You open the doors and flood the tubes by pressing 'Q'. You can also do it manually. Right-click your weapons officer icon and then look a bit up - you'll see a few triggers (down position - tube open; up position - tube closed). There are some other places with these switches in your ship, but try to find them yourself. :)

Depends if you are running stock game or one of the mods.
If you're using NYGM or GWX, the help screen (F1) gives you the dates and places where you can find resupply ships.
