Hi,
Recently I have installed GWX some days ago (great mod, BTW) and let my friend play it (since I don't have that much time myself). He lost his first career, so he decided to create another one using SH3 commander, and change the time settings to be able to 'escort' the Bismarck.
He selected April '41, 2nd Flottila in a VIIB, started up the game and left port. He them plots a course to Gotenhafen (where the Bismarck is located), waits a bit, and sinks some ships on the way.
Once arrived, he noticed he's too early (it's just April 18th), so he decided to dock at Hel (which is near Gotenhafen). He changed some of his crew, handed out some medals and then started a new patrol. Due to the changes, he continued on May 17th (one day before the Bismarck leaves the port).
Once the game loaded, the whole sub was shaking, and the log was filled with damage entries. He immediately went to the Compartements screen to see what's wrong, but when he was there half of his crew already died and most of the sub was damaged. One second later, he lost his sub 'due to collision'.
We then thought about what caused this. I know that the starting coordinates used to mess up in stock SH3 when docking at another port (sometimes the coordinates were reset to 0' N, 0' E), but my friend told me that he probably started inside the Bismarck.
I don't know if this is right, but there surely must be a reason for the sub to shake eractically and then be destroyed completely. Does anyone know what could be causing this?
