Yes, I saw bits of the movie, saw the scene with the actor. Besides das boot, and now this one, never saw the actor doing "good actor", he was always the "bad".
Da Vinci code, was a neutral..eheheh

Of course that many movies that he's in I don't know, but the one I saw it was that fact.

I always feel sorry for Mr. Prochnow, Das Boot proves he's a talented actor but he's never seemed to match that success - perhaps never been given the opportunity. A great shame.

You cannot be sure that your understanding what a success is is same as his, so you don't have to worry about him. :) Some great actors just dislike Hollywood productions and prefer to stay in their country or even just stop playing film roles and go back to a theater, to "make it proper way". :) I'm sure he got what he wanted from his life.

Everyone here would like to spend so much time on an u-boot, wouldn't he? :)

Yes, many actors prefer doing theatre insted of movies. Peter O'Toole is one example of many.

Maybe he hasn't always been the star, but it looks like herr Prochnow has had a long and varied career. And made lots of money.

Michael Caine was once asked why he was in so many bad movies. He replied that he was raised a poor Cockney kid and would do just about anything to pay the rent.
