Problem with my saves

Ahoy!!! I have problem with my saves do not play if i in the middle of a mission it works only on the harbor before a mission or after mission.And if i load the save in the middle of he mission in about 5 seconds terminnate the mission automatically and it say abandom career who it means i am dead.Then i go again to my saves and i see the save in the middle of the mission it lost:damn: what is the problem do you know please???

I'm not the best person to asnwer this, but did you save submerged? Were there ships around?

It's better if you save on the surface without any trafic in sight. It's a stock SH3 svae bug noone can fix.

When i used to save mid mission and reload it the boat would rock violently then the game would crash so my fix was to just play the whole mission and quit saving in the middle. If I don't have the time to do a whole trip then i stay at the dock.

Hi there,
The saving in the middle of a partol is a stock bug. That sometimes seems to rear its ugly head. You should avoid saving when you are:
Submerged,
Near or in visual contact with other ships or aircraft.
Closer than 50km from land.
Or after you have just recived the "She's going down" message, and the ship has not yet sunk.

I must be on the lucky side then since I play SH3, I saved in all kind of situations, surfaced alone, surfaced stalking a convoy, submerged alone or even with 3 DDs above my head and can't remember I ever had a problem...
Only thing I avoid is close from harbour because of the waypoints bug of AI boats.
Since an average patrol takes me something like 25 to 30 hours, I am glad I can make a save from time to time.:D

When not to save should be in the guide or new user sticky.
It blue screened me once and I lost an entire carrer. None of my settings were the same, it wasn't even playing in full screen. The worst part was I went so far as reinstalling from scratch and all the saves or new carrers started up in "game paused". Synchronised was checked and so was event camera. Uneched those options and the game plays again.

I hate to say this but I save all the time during a patrol... submerged, near convoys, rough weather, in harbor or whatever and have never had a CTD because of it. So I do not believe it's a SHIII bug. Something was done wrong to cause a CTD.

The only reason I've ever seen for a CTD or Mssg that SHIII must close due to a problem is from installing a mod during a patrol and not while you're In Base. That will cause you to lose a whole career... it's happened to me 3 or 4 times now just from being in a big hurry to install a great mod.
